​BeiJo did first meet in 1994 in Lancaster (UK) during a gathering of people that won a trip by joining a European painting contest. They both did win this prize in their own country; Balbino Escoval in Portugal, Jet (Henriette) Crielaard in

The Netherlands In 2022 they did meet again and continued to work together. ​
